The 22-year-old has made a name for herself as a talented actress and has proved to be a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood.
Slated to appear in three new movies this summer, Stone told the August issue of Vanity Fair about her highest and lowest points in her career thus far.
After choosing to drop out of high school before her senior year started, Stone moved to Los Angeles and got her big break appearing in the hilarious comedy "Superbad."
"I did 'Superbad' in what would've been my senior year," she told the mag. "I was playing a senior, and had I graduated I would've missing that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn't be here right now."
While chasing her dream of becoming an actress, Stone enrolled in online classes and even worked part-time as a baker in a dog bakery.
"I think three people called my specific cookies inedible to their dogs," she admitted. "I'm not a super-talented dog baker."
But, Stone didn't have to worry about making cookies for dogs for much longer.
After appearing in "Superbad," Stone went on to appear in several more films, including "The House Bunny," "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," "Paperman" and one of her most well-known projects, "Easy A."
The film "Easy A," in which she played her first leading role, led to Stone being nominated for a 2011 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.
Although she appeared in many successful films, she says she hit "rock bottom" after not getting a role she once auditioned for.
She confessed that auditioning for a role in NBC's television show "Heroes," was the hardest moment she has faced in her acting career so far.
"I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just done in and they were saying, 'You are our pick ? On a scale of 1 to 10 you're an 11,'" she said.
Stone was beat out by actress Hayden Panettiere for the staring role.
The young actress, who is still struggling with her new famous image, takes cues from other actresses who don't talk about their personal lives.
"Talking about this stuff is pretty new," she disclosed. "The only solution I've come to when it comes to things like that ? the health of my family or dating, really personal things ? is not to talk about it."
Stone will be seen next in the films "The Help," "Friends with Benefits" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" this summer, and "The Amazing Spider-Man," coming out next year.
