Kim Cattrall's new film Meet Monica Velour is to go straight to DVD in Britain after failing to impress U.S cinemagoers.

� The Sex and the City star plays a washed-up prostitute in the movie, but it failed to set the box office alight in America when it was released last year (10).

� It made its U.K. debut at Scotland's Edinburgh Film Festival earlier this week (begs20Jun11) - but instead of hitting cinemas, it is scheduled to be released on DVD only.

� Cattrall's agent tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "We were planning for an art house release."
