Update: Judge Judy 'feeling better' in the hospital

Mar 30, 2011

Judge Judy was rushed from the set of her television show to the hospital today.

A receptionist at the Judge Judy show, Vanessa Pineda, confirmed to KTLA that Judy Sheindlin, 68, left the studios, but described the incident as a "family emergency."

"The judge was feeling nauseous and had some intestinal discomfort and decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out," Judge Judy's rep, Gary Rosen, told RadarOnline.com.

Judge Judy just called TMZ's Harvey Levin from her hospital bed to tell him she's fine, saying, "I'm just exhausted, and my body was telling me it needed a day to chill."

Sheindlin will stay at the hospital overnight for tests. She told TMZ, "I'm really fine. I wanted to go back to work this afternoon," adding, "I'm exhausted. I'm just tired.

UPDATE: Judy's spokesman, Gary Rosen, tells Lifeline Live he "just spoke to the judge who says she is feeling much better. She says all of the tests are negative and she's going home tomorrow. She will be back taping her show on April 12, as scheduled."
