MALIBU - As an early spring storm moved out the problems it left in its wake on Pacific Coast Highway in the Malibu area were resolved, police said. There had been reports of numerous rock slides and instances of flooded roads along the coastal road as heavy rain fell.

As of 4 a.m. the California Highway Patrol only had PCH closed at Point Mugu, according to Officer Anthony Martin.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported the stretch of PCH under its control was open, and the portion patrolled by the LAPD West L.A. Station also was open, Sgt. W. Segee said.

Officer Martin said that the 800 block of Topanga Canyon Road remained closed due to flooding., but it did not affect PCH.
