S�o Paulo Hosts Festival of Innovation in Audiovisual Technology with 3D Project.

The first Feira de Inova��o T�cnol�gica Audiovisual ? XPTA. LAB will take place April 3-5, 2011 at the Cinemateca Brasileira in S�o Paulo.

It is the result of the XPTA.LAB program (Laboratory for Experimentation and Research in Audiovisual Technologies), which was launched in 2009 by the Ministry of Culture and the Secretary of Audiovisual in partnership with the Secretary of Cultural Policies and the support of the Society of Friends of the Cinemateca.

Alexandro Staphanin, from Corollarium Tecnologia has submitted the following 3D project:

?Our business is responsible for some of the works that will be at the event and we wanted to announce this event, as well as our business! The official site of our project is http://xpta.sf.net. This video shows the results of transforming a screen to a virtual screen with 3D visitor-controlled navigation. The person controls how they interact with the work of art and the elements come to life in the virtual installation. This application will be available at the event for people to explore.?

The purpose of the special program was to support research around new audiovisual technologies, specifically in the four excellent programs of Natalnet (at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte), Wikinaurua (at the Universidade de Bras�lia), LAVID (the Laboratory for Digital Video Applications at Universidade Federal da Para�ba) and the Department of Computer Science at the Universidade Federal de S�o Carlos.
