Female Internet Hero and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman is becoming a VC at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Fortune reported Tuesday that Whitman will be joining the venture capital firm as a strategic advisor to help pinpoint investments and advise startups.
That?s good news: VC?s with a woman in the team, invest in more female startups, than VC?s without a woman as partner.
Meg Whitman is already one of the notable female investors.
Kleiner Perkins has invested in Twitter, Groupon and Spotify, but also in Google and Amazon.
