Jesse James' infidelity was exposed days after then-wife Sandra Bullock won an Oscar.Jesse James made a lot of mistakes during his five-year marriage to Sandra Bullock, but he is only now admitting to one of them.
"I should have did the honorable thing," James said in an interview airing Friday on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight."
"I should have left her, you know?" he continued. "If I wanted to screw around, I should have, you know, ended it."
But while James also told Morgan that he takes "full accountability" for his "actions," he seemed far less remorseful in an interview featured in the June issue of Men's Health.
"I cheated on my wife. Guess what?" he said. "So do millions of other men."

James, 42, said his behavior earned the ire of Christians, who "all want to save" him.
"I get it," he said. "I'm evil."
The former "Monster Garage" host recalled someone even once leaving a note on his car that read, 'Will you party in hell?'"
James' response?
"Probably. Hell's likely not that bad," he told the magazine. "It's probably like Phoenix. You know how sh-t gets exaggerated."
While he seems resigned to the fact that ? as he told Morgan ? he's the "villain" and Bullock will "always be America's Sweetheart," there's one thing he won't apologize for: being vocal about his love for fianc�e Kat Von D.

"Back when I was listening every day to some new person say what a f---up I was, I hit the wall," he recalled. "I had a day where I was literally wondering how much more of this I could take."
"And one person reached out. Guess who that was?" he asked rhetorically. "Everyone else thought I was toxic."
"The fact that Kat is willing to be with me now? And get demonized in the tabloids for it?" James said. "God, I really love her."
