With another season twelve coming to a close, Hines Ward and Kym Johnson were crowned victorious during the finale episode of "Dancing with the Stars" airing on ABC on Tuesday night (May 24).
The triumphant NFL star and his dance mate ended up edging out stiff competition from runner up Kirstie Alley and third place finisher Chelsea Kane.
Of the big win, Ward - who plays wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers - said, "I hope I represented well for the city of Pittsburgh."
Clearly elated about the outcome, Kym recently spoke with Esquire about how much she got out of the show - saying it was a success even if she didn't take home the hardware.
"Spending that much time with someone can do that for you. With Hines, I've got a friendship now for life. Everyone I've danced with I'm still really good friends with," Johnson revealed. "I mean, you do spend eight hours a day together, for a good thirteen weeks. It's a lot of time with two people working toward one common goal. It does make you bond."
