Whitney Port Blames Lauren Conrad for 'The City' Cancellation

The Hills might be over, but the drama is never-ending! According to UsMagazine.com, former reality TV costars Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad are no longer BFFs, and Whitney even holds Lauren responsible for the cancellation of her Hills spinoff show The City.

"They are like any work friends who no longer work together," a source says of the deterioration of the friendship. "Whitney is upset because she feels that The City was canceled to make room for Lauren's new reality show. Whitney feels like she got the shaft."

Whitney's show followed her as she moved to New York and pursued a career in fashion, working with renowned designer Diane von Furstenberg. The City’s final episode aired in July 2010. Ironically enough, earlier this month Conrad's show, about her budding fashion line, was passed on by MTV because -- Conrad says -- the network thought it was too "highbrow" for their current lineup.

Port reportedly further escalated her feud with LC by skipping the starlet's 25th birthday bash. Though the pair starred in a show that wasn't all that real to begin with, the animosity between them seems pretty legit.

Let's be honest: MTV can only handle so many non-Snooki characters on the channel. We're just grateful Heidi Montag hasn't gotten her own show… yet.
