That was fast!
Just a couple days ago Nicolas Cage was hit with a lawsuit by producer Paul Brooks who worked with the actor on the movie Shadow of the Vampire, things have already been settled.
The two had a dispute over money Brooks believed Cage owed him. Looks like they've settled the amount owed (around $78,000) because Cage's rep said this:
"Contrary to recent reports that a lawsuit was going forth by Paul Brooks and Early Bird Productions against Mr. Cage, this matter has been resolved privately and amicably between the parties and therefore no legal action is being pursued."
Lucky break, Nic! Especially since we know you've kinda been going through a rough time lately. Chin up, buddy!

Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell called it quits in 2006 after a year of dating.Looks like love is in the air in Hollywood.
"True Blood" star Evan Rachel Wood and the original "Billy Elliot", British actor Jamie Bell, were spotted together in New York City on Friday.
The former love birds were seen strolling through city streets wearing similar gray garb, with their arms around each other.
The two actors previously dated for a year in 2006, with Wood and Bell even getting matching "J" tattoos, but the romance eventually fizzled out.
"We had matching tattoos because we knew our love would last for ever," Wood once said. "Trouble is, it didn't, things happened, we split. But I don't regret the tattoo. It reminds me of a great, great period in my life."

But things seem to have changed in the five years since the pair's last romance.
Wood, for one, has finally split from long time beau Marilyn Manson. Her on-again, off-again relationship with the rocker ended with a broken engagement last year.
Now, the actress appears to be singing to a different tune, praising the attributes of non-American men.
"Well, there's something about British men that's very charming and well mannered," she told the Telegraph.
Maybe there's one specific British man Wood is alluding to.

Ready to embark on a sure-to-be memorable getaway, Kate Moss was spotted saying her goodbyes to remaining wedding guests before setting off with husband Jamie Hince on their honeymoon on Sunday (July 3).
The 37-year-old catwalk queen hugged her loved ones while giving a big kiss to daughter Lila Grace as she and her man boarded a helicopter to set off on their post-nuptials celebration.
According to recent reports, Kate and Jamie have interestingly chosen the West African town of Timbuktu as their honeymoon locale - despite the fat that Miss Miss thought it was a "fictional" place.
A source The Sun, "Jamie couldn't believe it when Kate questioned if it was a real destination. She just assumed it was fictional."
Also included in the couple's plans are visits to the Sahara Desert and Algeria.

Beautiful couple: Kate Moss and guitarist Jamie Hince.Bride-to-be Kate Moss stood by John Galliano after all.
The 37 year-old supermodel walked down the aisle Friday in a sparkling 1920's style gold and cream wedding gown. Galliano reportedly designed her beautiful floor length veil as well.
Moss looked dazzling in the vintage-style gown, which had sheer embellishments, glittering stones and embroidered gold leaf.
The groom, rock guitarist Jamie Hince, looked dapper in a double breasted blue suit by Yves Saint Laurent.
Her 14 bridesmaids wore flowers in their hair for the summer wedding at St. Peter's Church in Southrop, in Gloucestershire, England.

Back in February, just weeks before Galliano became embroiled in an alleged anti-Semitism scandal that took down his career, Moss announced that she had chosen him to design her dress.
Many wondered if his legal woes and his drug and alcohol rehabilitation would cause Moss to make a last minute switch.
Moss's wedding is a who's who of British rock star and fashion royalty. Her maid of honor is Trish Simonon, the wife of Clash bassist Paul Simenon. Actress Sadie Frost, who was once married to actor Jude Law, will be a bridesmaid. They will be wearing dresses by Erdem and Christopher Beales, according to Vogue.
The supermodel may have graced hundreds of magazine covers and walked a thousand catwalks but she admitted to being extremely tense about her upcoming big moment.
"I was so nervous when I was practicing signing the register," she told the Daily Mail. "I've been so stressed out. My hands were shaking like an old woman's!"
The couple's friend, Primal Scream bassist Mani told Metro that the groom wasn't feeling quite as nervous.
"He's marrying a supermodel," he said. "What's there to be nervous about?"
The three-day post reception and celebration is set to include a "Casablanca" film theme, fireworks, doves and the request that guests bring swimwear and water pistols.

Having flown into the second stop on their North American tour earlier in the day, Prince William and Kate Middleton got down to business after touching flown at Montreal Airport on Saturday (July 2).
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge immediately headed over to the Sainte-Justine University Hospital - where they were greeted by both fans and protestors, some of which held up signs with nasty messages such as "Royal Parasites! Go Home!".
Explaining the anti-monarchy sentiments, one of the protestors told local press, ?We think it?s a useless institution that has no place today. We are capable of governing ourselves without people who have the title of king by divine right. The idea that God made them king is a philosophy of the Middle Ages.?
As for their hospital visit, William and Kate toured the treatment center, with Miss Middleton lovingly sitting down to spend time with patients in the children's cancer ward.
Once finished up at Sainte-Justine, the royal newlyweds were escorted to board the MCS Montreal to meet a handful of naval officers before finally bringing an end to what was another long day.

After meeting up inside the premiere, the couple hit Chateau Marmont just past 10 p.m. with a large group of pals, including Aniston's BFF Courteney Cox and Chelsea Handler.
Aniston, 42 ? still clad in her Balenciaga dress from the film's premiere ? wore Theroux's jacket walking in. Theroux, 39, played the part of dapper boyfriend in a black suit, white shirt ? and a clean-shaven face!
"They were super cute," says an onlooker. "He had his arm around her and kissed her on her cheek. They were whispering in each other's ears."
Theroux seemed to fit in with Aniston's close-knit crew just perfectly. "Everyone seemed to be getting along and in a celebratory mood," adds the source.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley used to be bullied for her looks at school
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley explodes on to the big screen this week in the new Transformers flick and is busy setting up a love nest in LA with her partner of over a year, movie star Jason Statham, 43.
But it hasn't always been A-list boyfriends, Burberry campaigns and summer blockbusters for
the 24-year-old 5ft 9in beauty.
Despite being voted one of the ?prettiest girls' in the school by her fellow pupils at Devon's Tavistock College and making the short list for ?best girl's bum', Rosie admits that she was a late bloomer in the looks department.
In addition to bad skin and braces, she was bullied relentlessly over her pout, which has since become her trademark.
?I was teased about my looks at school - I used to get called "tit lips" because I had big lips and no breasts,' she reveals.
?And then I was called "kipper lips".'

A year ago, on her last birthday, LiLo could hardly have predicted the legal sagas that would unfold in the months ahead.
Back in July 2010, just a few days after turning 24, she was sentenced to 90 days in jail, followed by 90 days in rehab, for probation violation stemming from her 2007 DUI. (Lohan's profane manicure made headlines during that court appearance.) She moved into a sober living facility as the start of her jail stint loomed.
She wasn't behind bars long: Booked into jail in handcuffs on July 20, 2010, Lohan was released less than two weeks later and ordered to begin rehab at UCLA Medical Center. But she only served a fraction of that sentence as well, completing treatment in just 23 days. Less than a month later, she was headed back to court, tweeting, "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test..."
Days after getting bailed out of jail, Lohan entered rehab at Betty Ford. In late October, she was ordered to remain in rehab until Jan. 3, 2011. While she was in treatment, 'Inferno' director Matthew Wilder announced Lohan would no longer star in his Linda Lovelace biopic.
In December 2010, less than a month before her release from rehab, Lohan got into a scuffle with Betty Ford staff member Dawn Holland (who was eventually fired for talking to the media, and withdrew her request to press charges).
While she walked out of rehab on schedule, Lohan soon walked right into trouble again when a Venice, Calif., jewelry store accused her in January of stealing a necklace, claiming they had surveillance video of the actress sneaking out of the shop wearing their merchandise. On Feb. 9, Lohan was charged with felony grand theft and pleaded not guilty.
On March 10, 2011, her ninth court appearance in ten months, Lohan was given two weeks to choose between a plea deal or a trial; she soon rejected a plea bargain.
In late April, her theft charge was reduced to a misdemeanor -- she pleaded no contest -- but the actress was given 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for probation violation (for being charged with theft in the first place). She posted bail and left the detention center within hours, and due to overcrowding, her sentence turned into house arrest.
During her house arrest, she shot a commercial and hosted a roof party, and then news broke in June that Lohan had tested positive for alcohol. But she was quickly let off the hook on a technicality (she was only supposed to be tested for drugs).
Could the troubled starlet's quarter-century birthday finally mark the beginning of the end of her legal woes? Lohan surely hopes that this year's theme, instead of jail and rehab, will be her long-anticipated career comeback, as she prepares for her role in the John Travolta movie 'Gotti: Three Generations'.

The Glee community is reeling from a major shakeup after the surprising news that Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam, is being dropped from the cast.
Meanwhile, fan faves Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr. were promoted to regulars. That's great, but largely overshadowed by Overstreet's ouster.
Ashley Fink, who recurred on season two as Lauren, will return next year, although she has not received the same upgrade as Criss and Shrum.
?well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh," Chord - who could still recur occasionally - Tweeted after the news.
It was not immediately clear why the Fox hit decided not to bring back the popular, 22-year-old actor as part of the third season's cast.
What do you think of this surprising news, Glee fans?

French finance minister Christine Lagarde was today announced as the first female leader of the International Monetary Fund. She takes over from Dominique Strauss-Kahn, beginning her five-year term on 5 July.
With a background in law, rather than economics, Lagarde made her mark as the first and only female economy minister of a G8 country to date by surrounding herself with strong advisers and by using her impeccable English and media savvy to get her message out. The Financial Times named her last year the best economy minister in the eurozone and Forbes ranked her the 17th-most important woman in the world.
Her role at the heart of the eurozone debt crisis was probably crucial in securing her new position with the IMF. She has been a champion of eurozone solidarity, urging the likes of Germany and France to pull together to support weaker members. She also played a key role in securing a 750 billion euro (673bn) EU-rescue fund during the debt market crisis in 2009.
Talking about negotiations such as these, Lagarde has said that her understated, feminine approach can prove an asset when dealing with male peers.
The chancellor, George Osborne, hailed Lagarde as "good news for the global economy and for Britain". He said "She is the best person for the job, which is why Britain was one of the first countries to propose her. She has been a strong advocate for countries tackling high budget deficits and living within their means."
President Nicolas Sarkozy described the appointment as a "victory for France", even though her departure leaves him vulnerable to attacks that the strong female cabinet presence he promised has evaporated.
?I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me,? said Miss Lagarde of her new role.

Leona Lewis is "really happy" with her new boyfriend.
The 'Bleeding Love' hitmaker has enjoyed showing German backing dancer Dennis Jauch around her home town of Hackney, east London, and says the pair are having a lot of fun together.
She said: "I'm really happy with my new boyfriend.
"He's been staying with me in Hackney and he's met all my family. I still have my flat here, so when I'm not working I'm back home near my mum and dad.
"My mum always says she just wants me to be happy and I really am at the moment. We're having a lot of fun."
Leona began dating Dennis soon after splitting from long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa and she admits the upheaval in her personal life will be reflected in her next album.
She added in an interview with Reveal magazine: "A lot of things have changed over the past year.
"I wanted to put my heart into my lyrics, so most of my new album has a darker tone to it. It's not just about my ex, or any one person. It's a mix of emotions.
"But it's not all sad. I'm in a really happy place right now, so there are some upbeat tracks on there too."

CONTRACT: Health, pension concessions help ease city budget woes.
Looking to bolster Los Angeles' coffers while taking care of its police force, the City Council on Friday approved a labor contract that contains historic concessions on health costs and pensions.
The 11-1 vote, with Councilman Bernard Parks opposed, sealed a contract that will save taxpayers an estimated $300 million over the next three years. And concessions on benefits made by the LAPD force will help give rank-and-file officers their first pay raises since 2008.
"I have been hearing from the credit union that more and more officers are in danger of losing their homes, and we need to make sure they are compensated," said Councilman Dennis Zine, a retired police sergeant.
"They have continued to make us safe as their costs have gone up. Assaults on officers are up and we are looking at 30,000 inmates being released from state prison. We need to make sure we keep officers on the streets."
But Parks, who once served as police chief, said he does not believe the contract will provide the expected savings.
"If you use the Bernard Parks math, it doesn't work out," Parks said. "We are not giving paid overtime, but officers are allowed to bank it and take the time off. That, to me, is not a saving."
Under the contract, officers will not receive a salary increase in the
fiscal year that began Friday. However, they'll get a 1 percent hike on July 1, 2012; 2 percent on Jan. 1, 2013; followed by 1 percent increases on July 1 and Nov. 1, 2013, and a 2 percent increase on March 1, 2014.The contract also allows officers to contribute more toward their retiree health care costs. Those who decline will have their retirement health care subsidy frozen at the current level.
Los Angeles was among the first of the major U.S. cities to convince workers to pay higher pension and health costs rather than lay off workers, said Council President Eric Garcetti.
He said labor agreements have been one of the big factors helping the city whittle down the structural deficit in its budget.
"By focusing on pension reform, we are saving taxpayers $254 million and increasing the city services they receive," Garcetti said. "This is unprecedented and it sets Los Angeles apart."
Assistant City Manager Ray Ciranna said the banking of overtime has also resulted in real savings for the city in the past.
Also, officials said the delay in pay increases into the last two years of the contract will result in a savings to the city of some $24 million.
Protective League President Paul Weber said the contract proposal received support from 96 percent of the officers.
"This contract recognizes the outstanding work of our officers and our recognition of the city's financial problems," Weber said. "It also reflects our desire for a stable labor agreement."
Officials said they hope to have an agreement in place next week for the firefighters, leaving only deputy city attorneys and members of the Engineers and Architects Association without contracts.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who has fought to mostly exempt the Police Department from the steep cuts that other city agencies have endured in recent years, said keeping the LAPD at its strength of 9,963 officers has helped the city keep crime levels down. The new agreement, he said, will help keep more officers on the streets, rather than requiring them to take more time off.
"Cities across the country, and our leaders in Sacramento, are struggling to balance budgets while maintaining services," Villaraigosa said in a written statement. "This is not an easy task. Our workers deserve a steady paycheck and reliable health care while our city's residents deserve to know their hard-earned money is being well invested in keeping communities safe.
"This deal closes the budget deficit, saves the city $116 million in the upcoming fiscal year and keeps hundreds of police officers on the streets."
Officials said the new agreement provides the city with more flexibility in assigning officers.
At the start of negotiations, Villaraigosa warned that workers could face up to 36 furlough days unless concessions were approved.
Voters also sent a message when they approved a measure last March that increased the amount newly hired police officers and firefighters must contribute to their pensions.
The City Council had imposed the higher pension costs on civilian workers in an administrative action this year.
City News Service contributed to this report.

NEW YORK On a first meeting, Sarah Ferguson does not seem like a woman mired in insecurity and self-loathing.
The Duchess of York strides into her publisher's Midtown office crisply dressed in a blazer and dress that accentuate her shapely figure. She's spent the past hour tied up in traffic but doesn't appear rattled. Offering a smile and a handshake, she sits down to talk about her latest book, Finding Sarah: A Duchess's Journey to Find Herself (Atria, $25.99).
Which means rehashing what Ferguson, 51, describes as a life-long struggle for both self-acceptance and the approval of others. It's the subject both of her memoir and a six-part "docu-series" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), also called Finding Sarah. The fourth installment airs July 10 at 9 p.m. ET/8 CT, with a repeat of the premiere episode set to run Sunday.
The author of numerous children's and lifestyle books, Ferguson had originally wanted her new book to focus on mothering. "It's the one job I think I've done brilliantly," says Ferguson, mum to Princesses Beatrice, 22, and Eugenie, 20, by ex-husband Prince Andrew, whom she divorced in 1996.
That plan dissolved in May 2010, when Ferguson ? no stranger to scandal during her marriage to Andrew ? was unwittingly taped by a British tabloid reporter who was posing as a businessman interested in investing in her philanthropic pursuits. In a portion of the video that Ferguson says was taken out of context, she suggested that a donation might "open doors" to Andrew.
Other press outlets quickly seized on the story "and turned it into something disgustingly awful," Ferguson says. "It was so sad. Friends said to me, 'We love you, but we don't understand ? who is this person?' I fell into a trap. I was drinking (in the video). I looked ? decadent. My instincts were, what am I doing?"
Ferguson remains adamant that she "didn't sell Andrew ? I didn't sell access to him. But it appeared like that."
The incident is the starting point of the book, which Ferguson culled largely from diary entries, "massaged" with help from Maggie Greenwood-Robinson (The Biggest Loser). The OWN series was conceived later by Winfrey, who has interviewed Ferguson several times and seems to have made her rehabilitation a personal mission.
The many guides in Ferguson's journey include celebrity gurus and Winfrey acolytes such as Dr. Phil McGraw, life coach Martha Beck and financial adviser Suze Orman. Most assure Ferguson, in one way or another, that her lack of self-worth ? stemming from her mother's abandoning her at 12 to run off with an Argentine lover ? is at the root of her problems.
Atria executive vice president and publisher Judith Curr, who in the OWN series is shown helping persuade a wary duchess to take the book in its revelatory direction, thought that Ferguson's "access to all these excellent people" would help make her journey attractive and accessible to readers. "We all have issues to deal with, though maybe not so many at once," Curr says.
Asked if she ever worried that delving into those issues so publicly would encourage yet more criticism, Ferguson simply says, "I couldn't have more than I've already had." Besides, she's proud of her progress.
"I'm healing myself," she says. For instance, the U.K.'s most recent royal wedding ? to which Ferguson, famously, was not invited ? initially caused her "sadness and regret, a feeling of, 'What did I do wrong?'" Now, she says, she's thrilled for Prince William and the new Duchess of Cambridge. "The last bride down that aisle (at Westminster Abbey in 1986) was me, but now it's on to Kate, and it's exciting."
Ferguson has her own ventures to attend to, among them her Helping Hand Books for kids; four new entries were made available by Sterling Press in June, with more due in August. Ballerina Rosie is due from Simon & Schuster in September 2012, and she's planning a novel for St. Martin's Press, about an 18th-century redhead named Lady Margaret (her middle name). "It's Pride and Prejudice meets 24," she says.
Romance is a trickier subject. Ferguson is still close to Andrew, of whom she writes adoringly. He supported her through recent financial troubles and she still lives on his estate when in England. Though she dismisses any chance of reconciliation, she admits, "I don't date. There are no takers, really. You have to be really strong to have the public eye on you, and if you're with me, it will be."
She pauses, though, and brightens a bit. "But maybe now the energy will change. I wasn't open to it before, because my heart was shut down. Maybe. We'll see."

Summertime, and the livin' is easy?though you'll have to wait for colder weather to see a certain American classic "reimagined" on Broadway. It was announced Wednesday that The Gershwins' Porgy And Bess will begin previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre Dec. 17, with an opening slated for Jan. 12. The production ? based at Cambridge, MA's American Repertory Theater, where it will run August through October ? will star Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis as the titular couple, with David Alan Grier as Sportin' Life. A press release describes the show as "specifically created for Broadway" ? the original Porgy And Bess is essentially an opera, though it has been staged on Broadway a few times ? and "will feature a revised book in a musical-theatre format and jazz-oriented musical arrangements."

They don't always get along, but perhaps the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York City will sing along to Countess LuAnn de Lesseps's latest musical endeavor.
After all, they seem to be her inspiration.
"Gold, diamonds, caviar," de Lesseps, 46, sings in the music video for "Chic C'est La Vie," while she's joined by fellow Housewives Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon." "Life is but a dream when every day you're living in is featured on TV."
The ladies live it up at Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa, where they sip champagne, gamble, sip more champagne and sing about "money power and romance."
And the shout-outs to her ladies and their lifestyles get even more specific: "Attention Jill [Zarin], bring your jewelry," she continues. "Cindy [Barshop], bring those crystals. Ramona [Singer], bring that Pinot. Sonja [Morgan], her man. Kelly [Bensimon], the jelly beans. Alex [McCord] bring Simon [van Kempen], and I'll bring the diamonds."
De Lesseps made her music debut last summer with her song "Money Can't But You Class."

One of the closest people in John Lennon's life is calling B.S. on Lennon's former assistant ... claiming John believed in the message of "Imagine" until the day he died ... and was NOT a Ronald Reagan fan.
TMZ spoke with Elliot Mintz (pictured left) -- Lennon's former publicist and close friend for nearly ten years -- who told us Fred Seaman's claim that Lennon was "embarrassed" by the lyrics to "Imagine"... is pure nonsense.
Mintz explains, "From the time I met John in 1971, until the end, all of those things he expressed in 'Imagine' were part of his belief system until the last breath of his life."
"If you listen to the last recorded interviews that were done with John, you'll hear him express in his own words ... his own beliefs ... which are virtually identical to the beliefs he held in '71."
As for Seaman, Elliot jabbed, "Apparently his memory was refreshed at the same time his documentary's release date was imminent ... Fred Seaman has a distorted revisionist view of history."

"Frankly, no one had ever asked me before," the True Blood starlet tells V magazine's Transformation Issue (hitting stands July 7) of her 2010 bisexual admission. "My sexuality is something I'm completely comfortable with and open about. There's a lot of prejudice toward us but the more people talk about it, the less of a big deal it will be. And that will be better for everyone."
While Paquin's True Blood character Sookie Stackhouse has yet to engage in any same-sex loving, she has had plenty of steamy screen time with costar and real-life hubby Stephen Moyer. But it's not as awkward as you might think.
"Maybe it should be weird, simulating sex with your husband in front of people," she admits. "But it's really not. When it's a love scene with someone you actually love, there's no feeling like, 'Can I touch him here, can I touch him there?' You know what your boundaries are?or what they aren't, I suppose."
Another sexy something she's cool with? Fans worshipping Mr. Moyer.
"There is probably something wrong with me, but I find it amusing to watch these men and women fawn all over him," Paquin says. "It's not like anyone's really trying to do anything inappropriate. They just want him to hug them...or bite them."
Or, as Moyer recently told Men's Health, "I get to sign boobs a lot. I get to bite boobs, occasionally, when I'm allowed."

The alternate version also stars the insanely talented French dance duo Les Twins -- Laurent and Larry Bourgeois -- who danced alongside Beyonce in her Glastonbury headlining performance this past weekend.
Looks like B learned multiple moves and was fabulous through many takes for the video shoot. This is practically a whole new video!
